The architectural heritage of Castelo de Vide is a very rich one, it has a story full of vicissitudes, remaining living signs of different occupations. Leaving in the spotlight the medieval burgh, the castle, the fort of S. roque, the walls that surround the village, the jewry, the medieval synagogue and doors and walls from the XIV and XVI centuries. Besides being an important tourist attraction, the architectural heritage of Castelo de Vide is a reference in the territorial identity of the inhabitants. There are 4144 habitants and the local economy is based primarily in the tourism.
